Party candle holders

Hope everyone had a wonderful 2011! It's been a very busy season for Sterling and I.  We are currently trying to get organized (a long ongoing project), plan birthday celebrations, get fit for the future, and still make time to relax.

I saw this idea for party candles a while ago on the sweetest occasion and put them on my pinboard, I thought it would be a fun and easy project to do.

You'll need:
plastic animals
cake candle holders
drill with a 1/8" drill bit
clamp or pliers
adhesive that will work on plastic (I used tacky glue)
spray paint (I used Rust-Oleum metallic)
cake candles

Secure a flat sitting plastic figurine with a clamp to your work surface, or hold with a pliers.

Carefully drill into the figurine where you want the candle holder to go. Be careful not to go all the way through the figure.
Check that the candle holder fits into the figure. If the candle holder sticks up a bit and does not sit flush, drill a deeper hole or trim the end of the holder with a scissor.

Glue the holders to the figures with adhesive and let dry. Spray paint in a well ventilated area.

Place party candles in holders, use on top of cakes/cupcakes, etc., light and enjoy!
